On February 1, Longyuan Power and 8 wind turbine manufacturers (including United Power and Goldwind, etc.) signed the Agreement of Cooperation for Building Trouble-free Demonstration Wind Farms in Beijing, with a view to jointly building a batch of demonstration wind farms that are free of troubles all the year round, and to leading the industry’s high-quality development. Tang Jian, member of the CPC Longyuan Power Corporate Committee and deputy general manager, attended the signing ceremony and made a speech.
Pursuant to this agreement, during the 14th Five-year Plan period, the Company will strongly build the trouble-free wind farms, and both sides, based on the “Cooperation, Win-win, and Common Progress” notion, will bring into play their respective strengths and work together to carry out construction of trouble-free demonstration wind farms. It is learned that the trouble-free demonstration wind farm is characterized by two indicators: first, power transmission, transformation and distribution is free of fault trip (exclusive of passive reserve shutdown inside and equipment fault without affecting operation of wind turbine); second, wind turbine is free of fault requiring on-site disposal (inclusive of resetting, fault shutdown duration of more than 10 minutes, exclusive of faults resulting from force majeure including blade icing, extremely cold weather, and typhoon). Construction of the trouble-free demonstration wind farms will officially kick off on July 1 this year, with construction period lasting for 5 years.
Tang Jian stated that in response to China’s call for peaking CO2 emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060, renewable energies centering on wind power and PV are transforming from auxiliary energies to main energies. With the advent of the “Levelized Cost of Energy” (LCOE) and Bidding era, new and higher requirements are posed to wind power developers and main equipment suppliers. In this case, it’s urgent for us to build the trouble-free demonstration wind farm and improve the equipment reliability. During the 14th Five-year Plan period, the Company will focus on its overall goal of developing into the world first-class new-energy company with global competitiveness, and strive to build 1-3 trouble-free demonstration wind farms in 2021, and 10-20 trouble-free demonstration wind farms by 2025. Both sides are supposed to observe the signed agreement and implementation path to jointly push ahead with the building of trouble-free demonstration wind farms on a continuous and progressive basis and with unfaltering determination, pragmatic work style, and unswerving willpower, with a view to making more contributions to development of the new energy industry.
At the signing ceremony, 8 wind turbine manufacturers, including United Power, Goldwind, Envision Group, Siemens Gamesa, Huarui Wind Power, Vestas, Dongfang Electric Corporation, and Shanghai Electric, made a joint declaration, saying that construction of trouble-free demonstration wind farms is of much significance to the industrial development, and they would strongly assist the Company in pressing ahead with technical investigation, formulating pragmatic and effective measures, and achieving the goal of building a batch of trouble-free demonstration wind farms.
The signing ceremony was attended by relevant responsible persons of the Company’s Production and Operation Department, Safety and Environmental Protection Oversight Department, Energy China, and Engineering Technology Company.
