On January 28, the First Meeting of the 4th Workers’ Conference & 2021 Work Meeting of Longyuan Power (hereinafter referred to as the Meeting) convened in Beijing. Focusing on Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the Meeting fully implemented the spirits of the 19th CPC National Congress, and the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Plenary Meetings of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, further carried out decisions and deployments of the work meeting of the Group, earnestly summed up the Company’s work in 2020 and during the 13th Five-year Plan period, scientifically planned the business development during the 14th Five-year Plan period, and researched and arranged key tasks of 2021. All in all, the Meeting further reached consensus, clarified the development direction, and united the thoughts, heralding the Longyuan Power’s new journey towards a world first-class new-energy company with global competitiveness.
At the Meeting, Jia Yanbing, secretary of the CPC Longyuan Power Corporate Committee and chairman of Longyuan Power, delivered a speech titled Insist on New Development Notion, Merge into New Development Pattern, Strive to Embark on the New Journey towards the World First-class New-energy Company. Sun Jinbiao, general manager of Longyuan Power and deputy secretary of the CPC Longyuan Power Corporate Committee, made a work report titled Spare No Efforts to Seek Development, Increase Benefits Steadily, Quicken the Pace to Develop into the World First-class New-energy Company with Global Competitiveness. The Meeting was chaired by Member of the CPC Longyuan Power Corporate Committee and Deputy General Manager Tang Jian, and attended by the Company’s leaders including Zhang Binquan, Chang Shihong, Jin Ji, Guo Aijun, Gong Yufei, and Zhao Lijun.
According to Jia Yanbing, 2020 is a very extraordinary year for the Company. Under the strong leadership of the Party Leading Group of the Group Corporation, the Company further implemented the Group’s “One Goal, Three-oriented and Five-centered, Seven First-class” development strategy, actively dealt with complicated and severe macroeconomic situation and external environment, as well as endeavored to overcome the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, all cadres and employees worked hard as one to promote production, operation, reform, and development. As a result, the Company made new outstanding achievements in the party building, with main indicators hitting a record high. Aside from maintaining stability in its safety and environmental protection work, the Company has fully accomplished the task and goal assigned by the Group, made some achievements in development of the world first-class enterprise, and realized successful completion of its goals set for the 13th Five-year Plan.
Work practices during the 13th Five-year Plan are considered valuable experiences for Longyuan Power’s development towards the world first-class new-energy company with global competitiveness. Longyuan Power always takes the Party Building as the guiding role to promote implementation of the superior’s decisions and deployments in the Company; Longyuan Power always stresses high-quality development, and strives to make its new energy business stronger, better, and bigger; Longyuan Power always stresses quality and efficiency improvement, and continues maintaining steady and favorable growth; Longyuan Power always stresses reform and innovation to keep on strengthening its endogenous power for development; Longyuan Power always stresses teambuilding to further cultivate the work and entrepreneurship atmosphere. All in all, all achievements the Company has made are hard-won, and attributed to the strong leadership of the Party Leading Group of the Group Corporation and unremitting joint efforts by all cadres and employees, noted Jia Yanbing.
Jia Yanbing emphasized that the 14th Five-year Plan is a crucial period for transition of the two centenary goals, and the CPC Central Committee made a major strategic judgment “China will go into new development stage”, implying that China new energy industry will step into a new development phase in which opportunities and challenges coexist. We shall not only take root in present realities, but also look ahead to the future; we shall not only improve the sense of crisis, but also enhance the faith in final victory. During the 14th Five-year Plan period, we shall insist on Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to further implement the new development notion, proactively merge into new development pattern, and earnestly implement the Group’s “One Goal, Three-oriented and Five-centered, Seven First-class” development strategy. Focusing on the overall goal of developing into the world first-class new-energy company with global competitiveness, we shall keep taking high-quality development as the theme, building of value-oriented enterprise as the orientation, faster face in digital transformation as the foothold, and more stress on all-around leadership by the Party as the foundation, to accelerate establishment of scientific, full-fledged, and high-efficiency comprehensive development system, smart production and operation system, pacesetting technological innovation system, integrated risk control compliance system, strategic talent team building system, and interactive and complementary party building work system. We shall seize opportunities, work in a down-to-earth manner, and strive to achieve high-quality development and make more contributions to the Group’s development towards the world first-class demonstration enterprise.
In his work report, Sun Jinbiao summed up and reviewed the Company’s work of 2020, analyzed weaknesses and problems in production and operation, and put forth production and operation goals and work priorities of 2021. According to Sun’s work report, in 2020, the Company, through overall planning, enacted the “One Prevention and Three Guarantees” policy, and its work safety kept steady. By optimizing its strategic deployment scientifically, the Company made new breakthroughs in high-quality development. Meanwhile, it carried out quality and efficiency improvement steadily, and made remarkable achievements in operation and management. Thanks to its further reform and innovation in all aspects, the Company greatly strengthened its endogenous power for growth. In addition, an atmosphere of harmony and stability has come into being in the Company for it persisted in all-around leadership by the Party. 2021 is the first year for implementation of the 14th Five-year Plan, and the Company is faced with important strategic opportunity and expected to further consolidate and strengthen its competitiveness and industrial leading position for now and some time to come. To do well the work for the year, we shall stress the bottom line and redline consciousness, and strengthen the management and control over safety and environmental protection; we shall timely seize development opportunities and make the new energy business stronger, better, and bigger; we shall strengthen production and operation management, and go all out to improve quality and efficiency and stabilize the growth; we shall continue deepening the reform and further improve management efficiency; we shall insist on innovation-driven strategy, and quicken the pace to incubate new kinetic energy for growth; we shall bring into full play the Party Building’s guiding role, and pull together for the common goal.
The Meeting approved of six resolutions, including Work Report of the General Manager, the Company’s Implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for 2020 and Report on Arrangement of the Comprehensive Plan for 2021, and the Company’s Implementation of Financial Budget for 2020 and Report on Arrangement of the Financial Budget for 2021, etc. Six subordinate companies, including Xinjiang subsidiary, Hebei subsidiary, Gansu subsidiary, Inner Mongolia subsidiary, and Jiangsu Offshore Longyuan Wind Power, and Anhui subsidiary, exchanged ideas and delivered speeches at the Meeting. In addition, the Meeting gave commendation to the Advanced Unit of 2020, Reward Fund Winners of 2020, Advanced Team/Section of 2020, and Excellent Employees of 2020.
The Meeting convened in the form of video link, and all employees of the head office of the Company, leadership team of subordinate departments, managers of intermediate level and above, and workers’ representatives attended the meeting at the main venue and branch venues respectively.
