On July 23, National Energy Administration held the naming ceremony for the second batch of national energy R&D (experiment) centers in the Great Hall of the People. At the ceremony, Longyuan Power was conferred a plaque of “National Wind Power Operation Technology R & D Center”, and Fei Zhi, the deputy general manager of Longyuan Power was present.

Currently, Longyuan’s installed capacity of wind power generation ranks first in Asia and fifth across the world, and Longyuan has accumulated extensive experience in wind power operation and management. After this center is set up, Longyuan Power will make the most of its advantages in wind power development and further carry out relevant researches.

Five out of 38 approved national-level energy R&D centers are for wind power generation. Longyuan Power is the only one of China’s five major power generation groups to have a national-level wind power R & D center. (Wu Jincheng)
